When Cool Kids Dress Up
Halloween is just around the corner and you know what that means don't you? A lot of photo opportunities Mr Bone's Pumpkin Patch and plenty of costumes to feast our eyes on. Granted, the Brits certainly don't get as excited about Halloween as the Americans (and I was always a little envious of this..)
No one can pull off geeky fancy dress costumes as well as MJ; a pigeon anyone? So here are some sights to get your pumpkin juices going (eww). John Galliano must be the king of dress up and Sofia naturally exuded cool in her red indian (ahem, native american) get up.

Time to bring out the Ouji boards and scare ourselves shitless, but remember to look good at the same time!

  2. Yes, JG looks like he has fun with it which is the most important bit.

Although actually, I would be worried if people dressed up as astronauts and didn't have an ounce of humour in them...

Speaking of humour, who would have thought that Guy and Madonna had it in them. Mr Ritchie looks like one of the Village People! Ha.. Probably not what he intended.

as for the proenza schouler coat, here's the link for it on style.com circa F/W 2007: http://www.style.com/fashionshows/collections/F2007RTW/complete/slideshow/PSCHOULER?event=show1543&designer=design_house184&trend=&iphoto=35 however, in the picture it is belted, but otherwise, the same coat.

  17. There's no one quite like John Galliano for dressing up- I remember when I was a kid I used to think his name was very apt because of this Enid Blyton book called "Mr Galliano's Circus". Oh well, it was a long time ago..

people in australia dont seem to get excited about halloween as much as the americans either...aside from young kids! John galliano always looks like hes ready for halloween...no need to worry about what to wear :)

  27. hey, great post as usual =)
I'm not sure about how to dress up for halloween, maybe a bunny to match my long tooth 8-). Just kidding.

Sorry for answering too late about how do i cut around the shape of the pictures. Well, i use Adobe Photoshop CS, and there is in the main menu, some tool which says "poligonal lasso". It will cut, the way i do, not exactly on the edge of the pictures, but in a very geometric way. Hope I helped =$

Oh, and thanks for cosidering my site one of the "October's Best Reads". It's amazing to see how such a great blogger as you are recognizes the effort I put into my posts, not only because of the pictures, but into thw writing too, because, as you may know, english is not my first language. Finally, i want to say, yours is on my top favourites too. It's so fun to read and your designs are as cute too ;)
