Sitting on the Fence?
This month, the blog has been somewhat of an Olsen extravaganza, and that isn't intentional, but they seem to be everywhere at the moment, more so than usual.
Mary Kate has bagged herself the cover of the Nylon January issue (eek, don't say 2008), though I think the shoot is generally pleasing, there are rather a few similarities with Ashley's shoot back in August 2006 (Nylon clearly love a wire fench; like, so edgy!) and I can't help but feel that Mary Kate is looking, well, rather Mary Kate.
I want to see her frolicking in the sand at the beach in a metallic American Apparel bikiki, looking polished and all 90's supermodel.
Still, you can't hate that green skater skirt, stoner's sweater and burberry heel look. The mask also features in the spring issue of POP (in their signiture nakeed shoot).
Preferences to a cover star? MK ou Ashley?

The mask is good, but I agree it would be great to see something different. I don't think Nylon is the magazine to do that.
I think you can see their personalities trough the pictures. But I must say, I like Ashley better. Oh it's so hard to pick between those two!
I'm tempted to buy the magazine now, and MK all the waaay. She makes me feel better about having messy hair.
ehh.. mary-kate is so annoying. she should stop wearing those clunky heels. they make her look like a child raiding her mother's closet
ooo its a doozy but id have to say MK! Ashley does a great polish, but i just love seein MK wearing something totally daring + outlandish that hits you over the head like, 'why DONT i wear moonboots anyway?'!
*Moonboots incident is hypothetical- but hey, any day now...
I think Mk's had better clothes and combinations, but i prefer Ashley on a daily basis
They are pretty similar but then they are twins so they are going to look alike and they have simailar styles
and Nylon styles everyone like they look in these pics
I can't decide which I prefer but between the last two pics it is deffinately MK

i love them both. can't wait for that to come out!
I can't help but love them both and MK is definitly my cup of tea. I like the shoot in Nylon, but I do feel it is almost a bit old MK. Even she seems to have toned down the craziness lately and a more polished look would have been lovely.
What is this about the naked Olsens in Pop ?! Have I been living under a rock.
As for the question, I am usually a Ashley advocate and an MK malefactor. But the elder is looking a little too desperate with her disgusting pout and whatnot. Leave it to MK to say "fuck it" in an awesome way in a picture.
MK ALL THE WAY. I agree with q though. MK really does know how to embody a disposition, whereas Ashley seems to just pose.
I love both. Nylon always looks cool. Doesn't matter if it's not very different, you don't change a team that keeps winning. Hahahah that was for the stupid sentence phase.

i love the shoot - but yea i kno what u mean - it would be funny to see her all polished, 90's with a bikini lol
simularities aside, I loved both shoots, but i've always been more of a MK girl, since the days of watching Winning London.
i've always preferred ashley, she just seems classier to me, but i love the mk shoot!
I really like Ashley's better. The grey dress and denim vest looks perfect on her.

anyway, i like the shoots, both of them, i really enjoy seeing these girls grow up...

I have always preferred Ashley to MK,she has such a great style,much more simple and easy to wear daily.
