more breaking news: linda evangelista has been confirmed as the star of the AW08 Prada ads. according to fashionweekdaily.com mr meisel (again) will be shooting her at chelsea piers, NY.

bye bye sasha; it was good while it lasted.
ps, about the last post; that lovely shoe collection is rather unfortunately owned by heidi montag. most of you knew that, you should be ashamed! heh. she is not the kind of person i would usually feature or advocate on this blog, but i was so shocked that she has access of balenciaga, it had to be shared!

now playing: girls and boys in love by the rumble strips

  1. Grr....Heidi is so undeserving of those beautiful shoes. And Sasha shall be missed.

  2. I have to say, Heidi Montag always looks fashionable from the knee down, but unfortunately from the knees up, her clothes are usually too tight and too revealing— its all a little too trampy for my taste.

  3. Oh, and I'm really going to miss Sasha P., though Linda Evangelista is a legend and if she said she'd be in my imaginary clothing line's ad I'd kick Sasha to the curb too!

  4. There are some REALLY beautiful and gorgeous black models out and about, I definitely think this would make a statement, but at the same time, in order to equalise races, should they always feature black models in every issue not just one whole issue? I feel that this may just be a publicity stunt ;) I had never heard this before though, thank you for keeping me up to date on the major fashion news going around x

  5. Waw! It is incredible that models like Linda, Naomi, Claudia, Christy, etc, continue working at this level. There will never be a generation of models like this.
    Good blog!

its always interesting to me to hear about all of the hot young supermodels and then find out that they gave the job to an "old" supermodel haha

  7. I think it's a good step from It. Vogue. Jordann Dunn is hot and so is Chanel! See what the fashionworld thinks about that.

I'd be more impressed if Vogue stopped thinking solely in terms of black and white because there are so many ethnicities between. They should make more of an effort to be consistent that way instead of just having a "black" issue come out; they'd garner more readers if they just broadened their standards! sorry if i sound too judgmental here, i really do like your site!

  16. NOT FAIR! I hate when people with no style have enough money to buy cool things. I would hate to see the lame outfits attatched to those beautiful shoes!
