wow marvin scott jarrett, just keeps getting further away from that interesting indie girl muse, doesn't he?
gone are the days of michelle williams, meg and jack, christina ricci.
guess interesting people don't sell!
ps, i have nevereverever posted about paris hilton before (i don't think at least)..
who knows, she hasn't been around for so long, maybe she's becoming a cult icon.
hahahaha, don't make me laugh!

ReplyDeletehmp. sell-outs are so upsetting.
Gahh!
ReplyDeleteAnd right after Zooey Deschanel. I was so happy with them last issue...
Now... not so happy.
you'd think there are no more unique girls out there that aren't so mainstream. so not the case, this is quite disappointing.
ReplyDeleteit all went downhill after certain internet teenage "celebrities" started appearing in the mag every month.
ReplyDeleteIt would maybe be good if they had dressed her in something you wouldn't normally see her in - like maybe the gothic look. But this is just regualr Paris, and who wants to see that?
ReplyDeleteENOUGH with paris hilton, I say. What a disappointment.
ReplyDeleteThose boots she's got on are kind of nice though....
xx

OMG. The sky will now crash and burn.
ReplyDeleteagreed with all.
ReplyDeleteim so not down. nylon girls are supposed to be cool, hip, indie - all of which paris is NOT.
hahaha! 'I guess interesting people don't sell'
ReplyDeleteWonderful sentence.
It's going to take a lot of amazing future issues of Nylon to make up for this cover.
ReplyDelete:/
ReplyDeleteI hope they put Paris on the cover in a pseudo-ironic way, cause Nylon ain't no Seventeen magazine up in heres.
ReplyDeleteI saw the photos yesterday and my face literally dropped!
ReplyDeleteHad no idea Paris was still relevant?
ReplyDeleteI always thought that Nylon was cool enough NOT to do that kind of mistakes.
ReplyDeletejuliet xxx
*cancels subscription to nylon*
ReplyDeleteerm terrifying.. why?
ReplyDeleteForget about Paris. The stylish is pretty cool. too bad the trashy blonde can't put together something like that by herself!
ReplyDeletexx
WHY WHY WHY??? We might as well just go out and buy Cosmo. It's a sad, sad day.
ReplyDeletewhat the fuuuuuuuck.
ReplyDeleteexcuse my language.
but paris hilton, really.
the epitome of slut ?
i could possibly acquiesce if she had one iota of style, or if she were incredibly kind, but yeah, neither are applicable.
what's next, heidi montag !?
gasp, i'd better knock on wood.

jessica
ps; do you have lookbook.nu ? i'm inviting you :]
Paris Hilton on the cover of Nylon? Jeez what a diaspointment
ReplyDeletei think its the credit crunch. they know it'll see.
ReplyDeletei dont think she's all bad.
she isnt the only person who sells themselves out. but we all just blame her.

NYLON SUCKS ANYWAY
ReplyDeletejust a hipster magazine
i miss the old nylon too,
i walked into 7/11 and there it
was right alongside people and
"ok!" :(
When Paris sells more than the White's, it really is a new low. It's like one of those "when hell freezes over"-isms. How depressing.
ReplyDeleteRead Missbehave Magazine Instead!!! It's Hilarious and they cover fun fashion and awesome indie girls. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI do not like Paris, she is done done done and over done. Bored!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the boots though!
