"I'm just so glad I'm not a young woman now. I feel grateful that, at the time I first started having sex with men, I didn't even have a bikini wax and men were lovely. Now I just think: how terrifying to be a 20 year-old and feel that you've got to be perfect and hairless and immaculate and that it's really awful. I just- eurgh- I would never have got undressed."
Alexandra Shulman in a great interview in today's Observer. Read the rest here.

Word!
I think this all the time. In my 20s, the women were fuzzy and the men were damn grateful.
Imagine the other end of the spectrum:

Is it really that bad though? There must be *some* nice fellas out there!
Yes, there are of course lots of lovely fellas. Though it does seem like a bit of a self-perpetuating problem -pretty much all of my closest girlfriends have regular waxes, some get everything removed because it's seen as 'the done thing'. And this isn't a wax they're going and having for themselves. That's what seems a shame to me.
