Fashion has a new face!...
OK, US bloggers are probably way ahead already but its coming to the UK in just six sweet days!
(Channel 4, Friday 5 Jan 9.30PM)
Produced by Salma Hayek, Ugly Betty is about the superficial world of high fashion!
It stars America Ferrera (Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants) as well as roles with the Dean and Caleb from the O.C, so it should be sufficiently trashy and amusant!
Heres a little peek of what to expect.
Yay, so excited.
Anyone got any feedback on what its like?

It's not all that great. Sure, the fashion mockery and spoofs are funny, but there's mostly bad acting. Vanessa Williams isn't too believable as an Anna Wintour-esque ice queen.
But it will get some laughs with its over-the-top comedy.
i think its great
this show is super funny.
i think ull like like it
Ther show is way funny. Personally, most of my firend's like it, so that's a good sign, from my picky firend's. You have to laugh with the story-line.
yea, actually i heard that it's amazing! but when i watched it for 5 min (i didnt have time to see much) i wasn't impressed. i cant wait to see more of it...
i was so excited about the show but i've only been able to watch 2 episodes, which were pretty good and funny. i think i might just watch the whole 1st season on dvd.
I've heard it's more funny than being an accurate portrayal of the fashion industry.Though I am excited about seeing it.
Also yes I did read the article about the riding hats in this months Vogue. Tbh I'm suprised people wear them. For fashion shoots and movies...fantastic, real-life I wouldn't be so sure...
Though if I did buy one I'd probably frame it as a piece of art.
It is a NOVELA: that means a satire on social structures, yeah there is more than pure cheese and doritos, maybe even a good manifestation of the zeitgeist.
