it's july you say?

um, no it's not july. if it was july, then right now i'd be in my garden feeling all smug in my AA lame bra and demin shorts with a nice tall glass of something fruit flavoured, an equally nice tall stack of glossy magazines and a couple of sweating cats.

but i'm not, so it can't be.

oh, hell. who am i kidding? yes, it's july. and it's raining outside.
puddle jumping rain, not just a little drizzle.

so while i snapped some photographic evidence on my way home from college, i dreamt about APC bikinis and frolicking about at summer camp with lara and daria.

i think i'd be kate's replacement. just because, you know, L and D need someone their own age (hee..)

If, like me, you're finding it difficult to get in the summer mood, absorb the glorious sunny lovely-ness of this old Another Magazine editorial.

*sigh* I'm not feeling the rain either. I'm dreading having to use the train or tube, it'll be nasty! And I totally love that editorial, I'm in love with the first two looks!

I love these pictures. I feel like if it was July, it would be summer, which mean I would be on vacation, not at work...
Hipsters still annoy me. I think they have "attitude problems" (to quote middle school teachers everywhere).
Oh and I sometimes groan with long posts too! There's just so many sites I want to visit that if one is exceptionally long I feel a quiver of despair...

see i do have the quintessential summer weather- hot, midly humid, some big thunderstorms at night, but sun sun sun all day long. which is kind of irritating when all you really wanna do is read, in doors w/ the AC on, yet the nice weather guilts you into walking your dog just to be outside haha. so there is a flip side to it. you probably would like to smack me right now, haha, why am i even whining? cute editorial btw, love the floral shrots in the first pics, and the bikinis are so cute, very 50s farmgirl

I also visited Bristol!
and we went to "Hollywood bowling" or something like that!
And yes, we went to the roman baths, they are sooo lovely, as the city!

Thank you, this really helps my entirely un-summery mood. I love the last one, speaking of ice cream, the ice cream van just came down my road. I may take a leaf out of his book and carry on in a summer mood, regardless of the weather!

I'm sure you know by now how bored I am of Mossy and she really put me off that shoot from W. I wish it had been you instead, obviously with your cats in the corner.
I am sad that my feet are so cold I have to wear socks!
Socks in JULY!!!
This is all wrong, I cannot wait to move to LA.

this rain is getting annoying now. i'm about to pull everything out from under the bed and bust out my winter wardrobe again.

stunning editorial anyway. and while i didn't come on here to tout my auctions, i'm selling those exact (i think) vintage CK denim shorts in my new ebay store. link on my blog.

amazing editorial! I love the floral shorts...it looks incredibly current for being old. The socks, the shorts, even the heels are a lil prada tea cup-ish no?
anyway sorry it's raining. my 4th of july weekend trip was ruined by rain too! :(

the blouse in the second photograph is so stunning, ever since spying it in Vogue last year I have been head over heels in love. my only hope for finding it is to wait twenty years and hope for a beautiful second hand version to appear in a sweet little vintage store one day. oh, dreams!
i have really enjoyed reading your blog, it is the first time that i have found your site and it makes a lovely read!
