chloe

completely love the shy colours and 'pinking-sheared' edges which bring the dreamy demure edge of the chloe girl back to form. i want to be head over heels in love with the collection, but am still hesitating a little over the shapes of some of the trousers which are veering far too close to mc hammer. while this is not particularly a bad thing, I don't think it really works with the flirtiness of the rest of the pieces.

i sincerely hope that there won't be any more creative director re-jigs though. at the moment, chloe feels a little bit like an fragile child who is being carted between foster homes, with new people always coming and going! as any child psychologist can testify; chloe needs stability!

just another pretty thing.

it seems that our very own caitlin cooper (willa holland) is quite the hipster these days.
i'm going to overlook the fact that she has an incredibly rich stepdad and that she poses for the camera a bit too much and that she has the chloe boots that i fucking need.

because she's kind of cute and well, i like her style.
and hey, at least the girl is actually working.

we all like inspiration

she has pretty cool style; i think you'll like it.
shame she doesn't have a blog.
maybe we should peer pressure her into it?..

and ps, this "bloglovin" business is taking off, don't you think? a nifty way of flicking through the updates of your favourite blogs without the hassle of having a million windows up at once.
so, if you want to be one of my "followers" (but penny lane style groupies, if it's us talking!) then click right heree

one cigarette, and the transformation is complete

guysguysguysguys!
guess what!? there is a cigarette in one of the editorials in the latest issue of elle uk!

forgive me if you're shrugging your shoulders and grunting "who cares", but um, doesn't this feel rather significant? 2008 has been the year in which editor lorraine candy has worked wonders on the magazine, transforming it into a high fashion publication with directional editorials and injecting some much needed edge into the mainstream fashion magazine.

the editorials are
stunning and dareisayit..? "dramatic finish" by Ye Young Kim is a rather reminiscent of Vogue Paris.

skull rings on my mind

when i was in london during august, i saw on a couple of different occasions, skull rings.
one was in gill wing, a jewellers on upper street in islington, which was a bit too pricey for my scrawny "on unpaid work experience" arse.

the other was £20 from a stall off brick lane. i thought that seemed a bit much.

now everyday, i kick myself for not buying the latter.

i found this which perfectly fits the bill. alas, it is £164. better dream on or start saving.

karlie kloss, you cutie, you!
