downtime look

For those who have ever spent a bowling session thinking less about strikes and more about that dreadful moment when you must swap your bowling shoes back for your own, comparitably measly footwear, a solution is in sight!

from left to right. top; petite bateau, brogues; rupert sanderson, rings; asos.com
jeans; topshop, leather bags; topshop, perfume; flowerbomb by viktor and rolf

Though, of course, when I say solution I mean, for those of you willing to throw £265 at the problem over the less moral option of simply sneakily running off in a pair from your local alley.

Rupert Sanderson have designed bowling style brogues which I'm rather smitten with.
Perfect for a stroll around a sunday flower market with slightly rolled up jeans, possible bed hair and french-style quirks.

I love the shoes, I've been missing the pair of two-toned oxfords I wore as a kids. these are perfect replacements. well rather expensive, but still: near perfect replacements.

Love the shoes, but the bag is even better. I've had a slight briefcase obsession recently and was hoping to find one that wasn't for commuters. This is perfect!

What? There are people out there who actually like bowling shoes? I refuse to wear them and do it in socks.
But I would wear all the rest of this look down to the perfume (it smells soooo good) just with different shoes.

And I know what you mean about Jen - I think of her as someone who feels sorry for herself all the time, even though that's just what people are making us think. But she really has only just started to do something about it so I think it is a bit her fault too.

The bowling shoes at the bowling alley that we visited in Japan were actually really cool! They looked just like runners except they had velcro haha we wanted to take them home with us. You get bowling shoes out of a vending machine here!! I wore faded denim way back in high school and it seems to be making a comeback. What do you think? Should I give it a whorl this spring?

i love those shoes, and ur blog.
i have a friend who stole a pair of shoes from a bowling alley, in nashville. But in her defense, they were the cutest pair of bowling shoes.

love, beth

Those are perfection. Actually, if only all bowling shoes designers take a leaf from Mr. Sanderson's book...

Ha, i've never heard that opinion actually. I've never liked bowling shoes, but those are actually kind of cute. And they aren't pre-worn so thats a plus.
But what i really like about this post is the bag and the perfume.

Yuck! I don't like the idea of bowling shoes...and I don't like how they look :D I'm sorry. But the rest of look is really nice, maybe the shoes look better with the outfit.
